Mandarin Oriental has unveiled plans to open its first hotel in Bali.
Set to welcome its first guests by the end of 2016, the Mandarin Oriental Bali will form part of the Bukit Pandawa development – a new high-end leisure project.
With a cliff-top setting, the resort will be developed across a series of elevated terraces, offering views of the Indian Ocean and access to a secluded sandy beach.
It will feature 121 rooms and suites, including 97 villas each with a private pool. There will be three restaurants, including a cantilevered cliff-top restaurant and beach bar and grill, plus a 100-metre-long outdoor swimming pool, a fitness centre and a 1,725m² spa with eight treatment rooms.
The resort will also offer a range of conference and banqueting venues, including a cliff-top space suitable for weddings.
“We are delighted to extend Mandarin Oriental’s renowned levels of hospitality to the beautiful island of Bali, and are looking forward to creating a luxurious hideaway on this dramatic Bukit coastline,” said Edouard Ettedgui, group CEO of Mandarin Oriental.
“The secluded location and all-encompassing luxury facilities of Mandarin Oriental Bali, underpinned by our legendary award-winning service, will provide a remarkable retreat for future guests.”
The hotel will be located 25 minutes’ drive from Bali’s Ngurah Rai International Airport and 30 minutes’ from Seminyak.
