A new observation tower is to be built in Weymouth as part of the Festival Pier redevelopment. Merlin Entertainments is to build the attraction in time for next year’s Olympics and it will include a 360 degree panoramic view. “We believe that the tower will be a must do attraction in Weymouth,” said Craig Dunkerley, general manager of Merlin’s SEA LIFE attraction in Weymouth, who will be responsible for the new attraction.”We are confident that it will prove an economic catalyst, helping to keep people in the town longer, and benefitting many other businesses”.
