Visitor arrivals to Nepal increased 12.2% year-on-year to almost 37,600 in February 2011. Reported by the country’s Immigration Office, the figures showed that arrivals from Nepal’s largest source market, India, surged 39.9% compared to the same period in 2010. Visitors from China increase 2.0%, while arrivals from Japan and South Korea rose by 5.2% and 29.9% respectively. Arrivals from Malaysia and Singapore however, both declined.
