Thailand’s Wabi Sabi Boutique Hotels Group will open a new property in Phuket this week.
Scheduled to welcome its first guests on 15 January, the Wabi Sabi Boutique Hotel Kamala Phuket is described as being an “upper upscale to luxury boutique” hotel with a “zen minimalist concept”.
Located in the Kamala area of the island, two minutes from the beach, the property features 38 suites ranging from 50m² to 110m² and all featuring flat-screen TVs, Wi-Fi and coffee machines.
The hotel says it will target the honeymoon market and is “non-children-friendly”. It is also an eco-friendly hotel, having adopted water conservation and recycling programmes and using energy-saving lighting.
“Along with being eco-friendly, our goal is to help our guests immerse themselves in the Kamala, Phuket’s experience,” said Azuan Noordin, who heads Wabi Sabi Boutique Hotels Group. “Eventually, we’ll be adding services like tai chi, yoga, detox programme, a wellness spa on the rooftop is being design for its second phase. Thai cooking classes, organic herbs and garden farms and basic lessons in Thai, as well as in-room beauty and health treatments and bike and walking tours.”
Wabi Sabi Boutique Hotel will also feature a tour desk, while a wedding and events coordinator will help plan special functions, using the hotel’s rooftop as a venue.
