A new heritage hotel has opened its doors in UNESCO-listed Georgetown, Penang.

The Armenian Street Heritage Hotel is located within the World Heritage zone, and serves as an extension of the Georgetown World Heritage Incorporated (GTWHI) office, which is located opposite the hotel. It is also houses the largest model of the heritage area.

“The Armenian Street Heritage Hotel is a project undertaken with much love and passion especially for Georgetown’s heritage values. We look forward to working very closely with the state government and its agencies, especially heritage and tourism bodies to bring in more visitors to the heritage zone,” said the hotel’s owner, Yong Chai Seng.

Managed by Tune Hotels, the property offers 92 rooms all equipped with TVs, Wi-Fi and power showers. The hotel also features a viewing deck on the top floor, offering views across Georgetown and the Penang coastline.
