Five new luxury rooms have been unveiled at The Plough, Lupton – the new development from Punch Bowl Inns. The new accommodation offerings are named after Lupton’s previous landowners dating back to the Domesday survey of 1058 – Torsin, Harrington, Musgrave, Redman and Bellingham. The top suite, Torsin, includes a separate sitting area, large sofa and under-floor heating, as well as dual sinks and rain showers in the bathroom. The building’s original wooden beams have also been preserved.
The Plough, which dates back to at least 1851, re-opened its doors as an inn and restaurant in June 2010 after a complete refurbishment by its new owners. The addition of the new rooms is the latest phase in a major renovation project which will see the addition of a sixth suite in 2012, spreading across the entire second floor of the building.
