Hotelier Oliver Gobat is feared to have been murdered in St Lucia as detectives attempt to identify a body found in his burnt-out car.
Gobat, whose family runs the Cap Maison resort, was reported missing last Friday and investigations are now looking into the identification of a body that was found in his car on the island.
According to Sky News residents nearby said they heard gunshots and then saw flames coming from the vehicle.
A short time after a male body was found in the passenger seat of the car, which had its doors locked.
Gobat’s parents are understood to have flown out to St Lucia from Esher, Surrey.
