Oman Air code shares with Garuda

Oman Air and Garuda Indonesia have recently entered a new code share agreement.
The agreement will enable the airline’s customers to book flights, operated by Garuda Indonesia, between Jakarta and Bali, Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok. In turn, Garuda Indonesia’s customers will be able to book flights, operated by Oman Air, between Muscat and Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Jakarta or Salalah.
Abdulrahaman Al-Busaidy, chief operating officer of Oman Air said: “The new code share will enable our passengers to travel further afield without booking with multiple airlines.”
Adding further Garuda Indonesia commercial director, Handayani said: “This partnership is expected to boost trade and tourism activities by making Indonesia much more accessible for Oman visitor.”
Oman Air is currently engaged in a fleet and network expansion programme which will see the number of aircraft it operates increase to 50 by 2018, and to 70 by 2020. In addition it is launching new services, frequencies and improving connections.
