Singapore’s retail thoroughfare Orchard Road is to undergo a 10-month-long facelift from April 28. The multi-million dollar makeover is expected to be completed by next February. Enhancements include state-of-the-art lighting to showcase Orchard Road’s tree-lined boulevard, new creative spaces for events and a new pedestrian mall.
The Singapore Tourism Board said locals and tourists can shop as usual, and that building owners and tenants would be affected only for an average of 10 weeks throughout facelift period.
