Singapore-based Park Hotel Group has appointed 16 new in-house trainers for the Park Hotel Academy – the company’s new training and development facility. The hotel group is an Approved Training Organisation (ATO) certified by Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA), providing a range of Workforce Skills Qualification (WSQ) programmes to its staff. Over the last four months 16 employees were selected from various divisions at the group’s Grand Park Orchard, Grand Park City Hall and Park Hotel Clarke Quay properties, to undergo professional training at Institute of Adult Learning (IAL) to become certified with Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA), accredited by WDA.
With this professional certification, they are now qualified to train other Park Hotel Group staff. Park Hotel Group has now invested more than SG$5,000 (US$4,080) in each in-house trainer to be ACTA trained and certified.
“We intend to continue to invest more in the training and development of our staff so that we can continually exceed guests’ expectations,” explained Allen Law, Director of Park Hotel Group.
