At least 13 passengers were hurt on Saturday after a China Airlines plane en route from Taipei to Bali suffered severe turbulence, the Shanghai Daily has reported. Some of those injured suffered broken necks and other fractures, according to the report.
The Boeing 747 hit turbulence about 30 minutes before landing at Denpasar, said airport spokesman M. Dimyati. The plane, carrying 338 passengers, landed safely in Bali, where the injured passengers were taken to hospital.
