PepsiCo, the multinational beverage giant, has unveiled plans to enter the hospitality sector with the launch of ‘Kola House’, a new bar, restaurant, lounge and event space in New York City.
Scheduled to open its doors in spring 2016, Kola House will feature a menu of dishes “inspired by the kola nut”, plus cocktails.
It will also act as an event space for music, art, film and other cultural activities, and Pepsi will use its partnership with Live Nation to create a special music series called ‘Live at the Kola House’.
“We wanted to create a modern hub for consumers to share social and immersive experiences that were anchored in the exploration of our cola’s artisanal craft and flavour,” said Seth Kaufman, chief marketing officer for PepsiCo North America Beverages. “The Kola House represents a new space for us to support our consumer-first approach to drive authenticity and innovation around our beverage offerings and ideals.”
Kola House, which will be located in New York City’s Meatpacking district, will be operated by The Metric, a hospitality and nightlife company founded by Eric Marx and Lisle Richards.
