I grew up in my parents’ 100-unit motel in Wisconsin. This is where I learned the best practices in hospitality, customer service, and mindful leadership. My upbringing has helped me realize that one of the best ways to succeed is to provide the best tools and incentives to my peers to complete job functions efficiently.

It teaches you to pay attention to the present moment, recognizing your feelings and emotions and keeping them under control, especially when faced with highly stressful situations. Mindful leadership training explores how meditation, reflection, and other contemplative practices influence the development of the fundamental qualities of leading and living with excellence. Mindfulness is about being present. The greatest gift we can give our teams as leaders is our attention.
