QAIA reports 14.1% traffic growth

Airport International Group (AIG) reported a 14.1% increase in passenger traffic (PAX) at Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA).
This has brought total of passengers handled during October this year to 600,855 PAX compared to 526,584 PAX of the same month in 2012. AIG, the Jordanian company responsible for the rehabilitation, expansion and operation of QAIA, also revealed that year-to-date (YTD) passenger numbers rose by a healthy 4.05% to reach 5,570,634 PAX in comparison to 5,353,776 PAX in October 2012.
Aircraft movements (ACM) this October registered positive growth with a 6.26% increase to reach 6,078 ACM as opposed to the 5,720 ACM witnessed during 2012. Meanwhile, YTD ACM recorded a marginal 0.83% increase in October 2013, counting 57,252 ACM in comparison to 56,783 ACM over the same period of 2012.
