Holidays offered by the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) through Collette already have enough forward bookings in 2014 to surpass its first year of sales.
RHS Garden Holidays now expects its sales to triple by the end of this year compared to 2013, attributing its success to strong customer and trade feedback.
Its 10 tours will be available again in 2014 and 2015 with destinations covering Rome to New Zealand and all with a curator or horticulturalist.
Peter Traynor, general manager of Collette said the New Zealand and Japan tours are currently selling well and expects a strong surge in late sales for its European destinations.
He added: “Agents have been enormously receptive to these new special-interest tours, using them to develop links with local clubs and societies, widening their customer base to include clients with an interest in a specialist, niche product rather than the more price-conscious and mainstream.”
