Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield has reported a 5 percent rise year-on-year in passenger numbers. The airport was used by 895, 136 travellers during 2010 and was boosted by increased traffic figures from Wizz Air and Flybe. “The easyJet operation was a big boost to our figures in the eight months it operated and we are delighted that with increased capacity and new routes from other operators, we are well on the way to replacing these services for 2011,” said Mike Morton, airport director at Robin Hood. Ryanair, Wizz, Holidays4U and Thomas Cook have announced that they will launch new routes or increase capacity this year.
