Royal Jordanian connects Mosul

Royal Jordanian recently announced the launch of its operations between Amman and Mosul, in northern Iraq. The new service will commence on 12 November 2013. This addition will increase number of RJ destinations in Iraq to five: Baghdad, Basra, Sulaymaniyah, Erbil and Mosul.
Initially, RJ will operate two weekly flights to Mosul, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, raising the number of flights between Jordan and Iraq to 28 weekly. This will include nine weekly flights to each of Baghdad and Erbil and four weekly flights to each of Basra and Sulaymaniyah.
With the new service, the airline looks to boost its presence in the Iraqi market. The main target segment would be businessmen, students and Jordanian and Iraqi citizens looking to fly to Mosul.
The flights from QAIA to Mosul depart at 6:15 and reach Mosul at 8:05. The return flight departs Mosul at 8:50 and reaches Amman at 10:45am, a flight duration of one hour and 50 minutes.
