Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts has opened its third hotel in Shanghai.
Located on the Puxi side of the Huangpu River, the new Jing An Shangri-La West Shanghai forms part of the new 450,000m² Jing An Kerry Centre. The 508 guestrooms occupy the top 29 floors of the 60-storey tower, and guests staying in Grand Premier Rooms and suites will also have access to the Horizon Club Lounge – the largest in Shangri-La’s portfolio, taking up the entire 55th floor and offering 360⁰ views of Shanghai.
“The hotel is very Shanghainese in that it is a balance of the new and the traditional,” said Shangri-La’s president & CEO, Greg Dogan. “Guests will experience Shangri-La’s genuine, heart-warming hospitality, and discover classic Shangri-La design reinterpreted in a luxurious contemporary way that complements the vibrancy of the Jing An district.”
F&B options at the hotel include a Chinese restaurant, American steakhouse, all-day dining restaurant and a roof-top wine bar. There will also be a spa, health club and 4,465m² of meeting and conference space, including a 1,743m² Grand Ballroom.
