Sony is recalling 440,000 Vaio laptop computers worldwide because of wiring faults, the BBC has reported. The recall concerns 19 models in the TZ series manufactured between May 2007 and July 2008. The fault could reportedly cause the laptops to overheat and burn users.
According to Sony, some 67,000 of the Vaios being recalled were sold in Japan.
