Royal Caribbean International has revealed that Harmony of the Seas, the world’s largest cruise ship, will be the first ship in the company’s fleet to feature Splashaway Bay, an interactive aqua park for kids.
Splashaway Bay will join Ultimate Abyss, a 10-storey slide and The Perfect Storm trio of waterslides, which are already on board.
Splashaway Bay is designed for kids and toddlers and will feature sea creature water cannons, winding slides, a giant drench bucket and a multi-platform climbing frame.
Harmony of the Seas will be the first in a new generation of Oasis class ships and is scheduled to kick off her inaugural summer season in May 2016 with a seven-night Med cruise taking in Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca, Provence, Florence and Pisa, Rome and Naples.
Harmony of the Seas will span 16 guest decks, encompass 227,000 gross registered tonnes, carry 5,479 guests at double occupancy, and feature 2,747 staterooms.
