Sri Lanka arrivals fall

Foreign visitors to Sri Lanka fell 5.8% in February with a steep fall of Indian tourists and those from Western Europe, except the UK, data from the tourist promotion office showed.
According to Lanka Business Online, total arrivals fell to 40,551 from 43,051 from a year before. Western Europe fell almost 5% while South Asia dropped over 13%.
The UK was the top generating destination with visitors holding steady at almost 9,000. In the first two months of the year cumulative arrivals were down about 2% to 97,467.
