GREG TREASURE has been announced as the new Managing Director of Hogg Robinson Group (HRG) Australia. Treasure was formerly HRG’s General Manager in Hong Kong, and brings extensive experience of both operations and the Asia Pacific region. He will be based in Melbourne.
STEPHEN FORD has been named as Starwood Hotels & Resorts’ new Vice President, Area Managing Director for South China region and General Manager of Sheraton Sanya Resort. Ford returns to China after spending 3 years in India working as Starwood’s Regional Vice President for Starwood’s India, Nepal and Bangladesh region.
DON ELLIOT succeeds Ford as Starwood Hotels & Resorts’ Regional Vice President for Starwood’s India, Nepal and Bangladesh region. Elliot has been with Starwood since 1983, most recently serving as Vice President, Operations for Hawaii & French Polynesia, a position he has held since January 2007.
BERNARD AGACHE has been appointed Senior Vice President of Membership for The Leading Hotels of the World (LHW). With 30 years industry experience, Agache was most recently Senior Vice President of Operations for Westmont Hospitality in Toronto. He will be based in LHW’s New York office.
PHILIP HO has been announced as LHW’s new Vice President for Asia Pacific. Singapore national Ho Stationed joins LHW from his most recent role as General Manager for ZUJI, the region’s top online travel retailer and a part of Sabre Holdings.
MICHAEL COWAN has been appointed Outrigger Enterprises Group’s new Vice President of Operations & Projects, Asia. Australian national Cowan has 20 years’ hotel experience in Asia, and has held senior executive positions at hotels in Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, China, Maldives, Malaysia and Australia.
MARKLAND BLAIKLOCK has announced as Senior Vice President Sofitel Asia Pacific. Blaiklock has a background in finance and marketing and has held key positions with top hotel groups such as Shangri-La, Raffles and Hilton, most recently serving as CEO of Grande Asset Hotels and Property.
GARRY HOLLIHEAD has been appointed Executive Chef for the Grosvenor House Dubai. A three times Michelin starred chef, Hollihead has an illustrious career spanning over two decades, with stints at the Savoy Hotel, as well as the La Savours and L’Escargot restaurants in London.
PHANLOP RITTHIRONG has been appointed General Manager of Oriental Events & Leisure, based in Bangkok. “Addy” comes with a wealth of experience and knowledge within the MICE industry, having worked in several leading five-star resorts, and most recently held the position of Senior Travel Manager with Pacific World.
NATNICHA WONGFOOFAN has been appointed Spa Manager at the Amari Orchid Resort and Tower, Pattaya’s Sivara Spa. Before joining Amari, Ms Natnicha work at five-star spa operators, including Buriraya, Le Royal Meridien, Kamalaya and the Imperial.
JESSICA KHOO has been named as the new Director of Sales at the M Hotel Singapore Prior to joining M Hotel, Ms Khoo was the Director of Business Development at Orchard Hotel Singapore, where she achieved record revenues. She has also work with The Ascott Group.
DAVID NEWINGTON has been appointed as General Manager of FCm Travel Solutions Singapore. Newington has an extensive background in business development and account management. Prior to this appointment he was Director of Global Sales for FCm North America.
