Some 766,000 visitors - over seven percent more compared to September 2006 – visited the island. Visitor days were estimated to reach 3.0 million days, the Singapore Tourism Board said in a release.
Indonesia continued to provide the biggest share of the inbound pie with 136,000 visitors, followed by China (76,000), Australia (71,000), India (55,000) and Japan (54,000). These five accounted for half of total visitor arrivals for the month.
During the month, Average Room Rates (ARR) hit S$201 - another record for September. Occupancies continued to be buoyant, at 85 percent.
