28 Feb 10 (TravMedia.com): Tourism Australia, in partnership with TravMedia, has created a dedicated online news room for the Team Australia Business Events Educational (TABEE) 2010, allowing all Australian sellers attending TABEE to supply their news direct to the media.
TABEE is the largest trade event for the Australian business events sector in Asia. It is a joint marketing initiative between Tourism Australia and the Association of Australian Convention Bureaux AACB. In 2010, TABEE will be held from 15-17 March in Beijing, China.
TABEE 2010 will provide a platform for Australian sellers to meet face-to-face with buyers from across Asia to develop relationships in a structured business environment. It will increase international buyer knowledge and understanding of Australia as a sustainable business events destination and showcase Australian destinations and product; motivate and inspire buyers to make Australia a priority for their clients; and increase Australian seller understanding of the emerging association sector in Asia.
The TravMedia TABEE news room – www.travmedia.com/tabee – has been developed as part of Tourism Australia’s commitment to delivering more sustainable events.
The news room will utilise TravMedia’s revolutionary online approach to press release management; making redundant all physical forms of press release distribution. The online news room is more environmentally friendly, cutting out administration, labour, postage/fax production and costs, envelopes and printing and the associated environmental impact.
The TravMedia system has proven to be a more effective way of distributing Australian product news directly to media attending Tourism Australia’s events.
The online news room was originally developed for Tourism Australia’s premier travel trade event – the Australian Tourism Exchange – to distribute Australian sellers’ media releases and media kits to international and domestic media attending the event. It was also used successfully at Dreamtime 2009, Tourism Australia’s premier incentive travel showcase.
Every Australian travel organisation attending TABEE will be able to upload media releases onto the dedicated news room, with up to six high-resolution images, free of charge.
The site will utilise TravMedia’s tools – Journalist Alerts, Calendar of Events and Address Book – giving the published press releases and events unprecedented coverage throughout the world. Journalist Alerts will be forwarded throughout TravMedia’s expansive international network, including hundreds of travel organisations and over 10,000 associated journalists.
