Thailand will continue to drive its MICE tourism sector this month, with the launch of a business events roadshow in Germany.
Organised by the Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), the ‘Thailand Connect the World’ event will be held on 18 May at the Hotel Adlon Kempinski in Berlin. Joining the roadshow will be representatives from the Royal Thai Embassy in Germany, Thai Airways and the Tourism Authority of Thailand.
“The Thailand Connect the World… follows the success of similar roadshow held in Tokyo, Japan, on 21 April 2015,” explained Nopparat Maythaveekulchai, president of TCEB. “Both events play significant role in highlighting Thailand’s diversity of destinations that are enriched with world-class infrastructure and seamless connection.
“In addition, the current improved political environment in the country following the recent official lifting of martial law has helped further strengthen Thailand’s positioning as a gateway to ASEAN success to international businesses,” he added.
The roadshow will allow TCEB and its partners to provide an overview of trade and relations between Thailand and Germany, and will include the launch of a new marketing promotion for the German MICE market.
The German event is one of three ‘Thailand Connect the World’ roadshows being organised by TCEB this year, along with the Japan event and a planned mission to China.
