The forecast for visitor arrivals growth in Thailand for the first quarter has been cut from 10% to 7.3%. The estimate, released by the Kasikorn Research Center (KResearch) and reported by the Bangkok Post, estimates that international arrivals to the country will hit five million, compared to 4.66 million in Q1 2010. The growth has been affected by a declining number of Japanese visitors, and the recent floods that hit the resort provinces of southern Thailand. KResearch forecasts that full-year arrivals will increase 7% year-on-year.
