Emiratis have been urged not to travel to Egypt unless it is for urgent reasons.
Crowds have been gathering in Cairo’s Tahrir Square ahead of a mass rally to demand the resignation of Egypt’s Islamist President Mohammed Morsi.
A report in Wam said the UAE foreign affairs ministry also called upon UAE nationals who are currently in Egypt to avoid crowded locations and places where demonstrations are taking place, urging them to leave as soon as possible.
