Travelodge reveals UK as ‘online-a-holics’

Nearly three quarters of adults update or check Facebook before falling asleep, according to research by Travelodge. The hotel chain’s latest study showed that 72 percent of Brits checked the website from their bed every night, with the peak time being 9.45pm. Meanwhile another 18 percent tweet and one in five Brits check the news on Twitter every night in bed. Further findings revealed that the majority (65 percent) of respondents check their phone for texts as the very last thing they do before going to sleep and 51 percent check their phone as soon as they wake up. Other bedtime online activities included grocery shopping, paying off bills, surfing celebrity new sites and shopping.
