Vietnam Airlines is offering new and existing members of its Lotusmiles frequent flyer programme an instant upgrade to Titanium or Gold membership for up to a year, in return for buying a return ticket from London Heathrow to Vietnam.
On claiming their upgrade, passengers gain access to members’ benefits including priority check-in and boarding, extra baggage allowance and – exclusively for Gold cardholders – Business Class lounge access whenever they travel on Vietnam Airlines operated flights.
Vietnam Airlines is currently offering special promotional fares for travel until 9 July, with return flights to Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City starting from £858 or £862 respectively in Premium Economy, and £1,562 or £1,565 respectively in Business Class. Customers purchasing a Business Class return can claim an instant upgrade to Gold membership, while those buying a Premium Economy return ticket will be entitled to Titanium membership.
Travel must be completed by 30 September in order to qualify, with both Gold and Titanium membership upgrades valid for up to 12 months. Members of the Lotusmiles programme earn miles when travelling with Vietnam Airlines or any other airline in the SkyTeam alliance. They can also accumulate miles by using products or services from partners in industries including banking, hotels, car rental and telecommunications.
Vietnam Airlines offers the UK’s only nonstop flights to Vietnam, with six per week from Heathrow Terminal 4 to Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City – rising to daily in Summer 2016.
