Vietnam arrivals surge 20% in January

Over 410,000 international visitors arrived in Vietnam in January, an increase of 20.4% over the same period last year and 10% compared with December 2009, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) has reported. Chinese tourists posted the highest growth rate (94%), followed by those from Australia (26%), Canada (24%), South Korea (21%) and the US (9%). Vietnam is targeting 4.5 million international tourists this year.
