VisitBritain has announced its new website is now live as its tourism strategy for the Olympic games continues. Built with SapientNitro, the new site will be the national agency’s platform for communicating with customers, focusing on serving personalised content based on the visitor’s country and language. User-generated content takes up 95% of the website and it is available in 22 languages. It is inspired by and connected to social media platforms and has magazine-style travel features. “The new website is key to delivering our strategy to inspire visitors to visit Britain before, during and after the Games,” explained VisitBritain Director of Marketing Laurence Bresh. “The site has been in development for a year and we have worked hard to fully tie together the inspirational and functional aspects of planning a holiday which our customers have asked for.” Britain currently has 32 million overseas visitors, which contribute
