Wildlife Worldwide offers Borneo photography tours

March 2010:  Wildlife Worldwide is offering the opportunity for photographers of all abilities to improve their skills under the expert tutelage of award-winning wildlife photographer Nick Garbutt on two tours to Borneo on 1 and 7 May 2010.

Nick Garbutt is an expert on Borneo and knows the very best places for wildlife photography.  Working closely with Wildlife Worldwide’s own team of experts, the ultimate itinerary for the trip has been put together, focusing on the Danum Valley Conservation Area.  

The two tours will run at beginner and advanced level, to enable people to choose a date according to their particular skill level.   The dates are designed to run one after the other, so anyone completing the first course can go on and take the advanced lessons if desired.    

The pristine lowland rainforest of Danum Valley is arguably Borneo’s premier wildlife location and five full days (six nights) will be spent there. 

Accommodation is in the Borneo Rainforest Lodge, located on the banks of the Danum River.  Within the vicinity of the lodge there is a network of well laid-out trails that allow easy access and ample opportunity to photograph some of the forest’s amazing biodiversity including the magnificent orang-utan.

After each day’s shooting, the small group (max. 8 people) will return to the lodge to spend time learning how to work with the images on photo editing software and cataloguing them.
