AccorHotels has opened its 100th hotel in Indonesia.
The opening of the new Novotel Makassar Grand Shayla City Centre marked the company milestone, and also marked the launch of the first Novotel in Makassar, and the second on the island of Sulawesi.
The new property features 330 rooms and suites, a restaurant, bar, gym, spa and swimming pool. It also offers plenty of meeting space including a 400-pax capacity ballroom.
“We are proud to open Novotel Makassar Grand Shayla City Centre as the 100th hotel in Indonesia. This is a milestone achievement for AccorHotels as the market leader in Indonesia as it also marks our strategy to accelerate our expansion in East Indonesia,” said Garth Simmons, AccorHotels’ chief operating officer for Malaysia, Indonesia & Singapore.
“Currently AccorHotels operates three key hotels in South Sulawesi, including ibis budget Makassar Airport, ibis Makassar City Centre and now, the first Novotel in this region,” he added.
The new Makassar hotel will also join a global network of more than 400 Novotel properties in 60 countries.
