MITTU CHANDILYA has become the first CEO of AirAsia India. Assuming the role on 1 June 2013, Chandilya has experience in a range of companies, including an entrepreneurial start-up business and executive search firm, Egon Zehnder. He is a native of AirAsia India’s home base, Chennai.

JOHN ROBERTS has been appointed to the role of Worldwide Conservation Director with Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas. Roberts has worked on environmental projects across the world, and most recently worked as Director of Elephants at Anantara Golden Triangle Elephant Camp & Resort.

MARK LOSI has been named as the new General Manager of the Parkroyal Kuala Lumpur. A long-time manager with Parkroyal Hotels & Resorts, Losi has previously headed the brand’s properties in Penang and Singapore. He has close to 20 years’ experience in Australia, Malaysia and Singapore.

SHARMINI MOGANASUNDRAM has been appointed General Manager of the Parkroyal Serviced Suites Kuala Lumpur. The move marks a promotion for Ms Moganasundram, who currently serves as the property’s Hotel Manager. A Malaysian national, she has 20 years’ experience.

JOHANN F. ANGERBAUER has been announced as the new General Manager of the Swiss-Belhotel Changchun, China. A qualified accountant, Angerbauer has more than 24 years’ experience in the hospitality industry in countries such as New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Sudan and Philippines.

MURLIDHAR RAO has been appointed Estate Manager for The Sanchaya, a new property on the Indonesian island of Bintan, which is due to open in the second half of this year. Rao has 25 years’ experience in India, Maldives, Indonesia, Singapore and the Turks and Caicos Islands.

JACLYN WEINSTEIN has been appointed as the Melbourne Convention Bureau’s new Director of Business Development in the US. Based in New York, Ms Weinstein joins MCB from BSC Management, an association and conference management company where she spent seven years.

AKSHAY MOZA has been named as the new Director of Sales for Absolute Hotel Services India. A British national, Moza has more than 12 years of experience in sales and marketing, including spells with major hotel chains such as Hilton, Sol Melia and Millennium & Copthorne.

VIRGINIA EDWARDS has become the new Marketing Manager at the Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park in northern Queensland. Ms Edwards has 20 years’ experience in sales and marketing, and joins the attraction as it embarks on  a major US$12 million redevelopment programme.

HANSNI BHAGANI has been announced as the new Director of Public Relations for the Four Seasons Hotel Sydney. Ms Bhagani brings to the role almost seven years’ experience in the media industry, most recently as Marketing Communications Manager at Best Western Australasia.

LAUREN BREMNER has been named as Best Western Australasia’s new Marketing Communications Manager, replacing Hansni Bhagani. Ms Bremner has worked previously in communications roles for organisations including Qantas and the Independent Education Union of Australia.
