GM for new Park Hyatt Jakarta, set to open this year, revealed

Park Hyatt Jakarta has announced the appointment of Fredrik Harfors as general manager effective immediately. Park Hyatt Jakarta is expected to open its doors in the second half of 2018 and will be the first Park Hyatt branded hotel in Indonesia.
Harfors brings with him more than 16 years of experience with Hyatt Hotels and Resorts, and most recently served as Hotel Manager at Park Hyatt Bangkok, which opened its doors in May 2017. Having previously held positions at Park Hyatt hotels in Saigon and Sydney, he has over 7 years’ experience with the Park Hyatt brand as well as an understanding of the Indonesia market from his 4-year tenure at Grand Hyatt Jakarta.
“I’m thrilled to be returning to Indonesia, and excited to be part of the opening team for the first Park Hyatt hotel in the country. I’m particularly looking forward to introducing local and international guests to the brand’s home away from home concept which will bring together our personalized luxury philosophy with genuine Indonesian hospitality to Jakarta in the coming year,” said Harfors.
Occupying the top 17 floors of the 37-storey MNC Media Tower, Park Hyatt Jakarta will feature 221 guest rooms in addition to bringing new levels of luxury hotel dining and entertainment options to the city. With exciting event venues throughout the hotel, Park Hyatt Jakarta will be a haven for intimate and stylish events in the city and have the capability to host personalized events from weddings, corporate functions, to sophisticated social gatherings.
