Barrhead Travel has announced it will invest GBP100,000 in creating 90 new jobs across its stores.
The Glasgow-based firm will recruit 60 full and part-time positions across its stores in Scotland while its call centre in Cumbria will also have new team members.
The majority of positions will be in management and sales, and come in response to higher customer demand.
Thirty modern apprentices will also be recruited.
“Our workforce is at the core of our business and we are immensely proud of the teams we have assembled in each of our stores and contact centres. Adding to these teams will help them build and develop further and will strengthen the bespoke service we provide,” said Sharon Munro, chief executive of Barrhead Travel.
She added: “Business growth and reinvestment continues to be front of mind for us. We enjoyed another successful year in 2013 and we are continuing to invest heavily in training and development to drive our business vision forward.”
