Proexport Colombia hosted its second annual roadshow on Monday to tell travel agents and tour operators about the region’s new product offering. Hotels, local ground companies and airlines attended the event at the InterContinental Hotel, Park Lane. “In 2010, UK tourists to Colombia increased by more than nine percent with 20,637 British visitors showing that the demand for the destination is really starting to grow,” said Juan Guillermo Perez, director of Proexport Colombia. “For 2011, we expect Colombia to enjoy a big leap with a considerable increase on last year’s figures and have a variety of marketing and promotional activities to really enhance our efforts and showcase the country as a diverse and unique destination to the travel industry.”
