Jet Airways will consolidate its low-cost service products under the JetKonnect brand this week. From 25 March, JetLite and JetKonnect services will be aligned under the JetKonnect label. The airline added however, that Jet Airways and JetLite “will continue as distinct business entities operating under their own airline operating permits”.
JetKonnect will become Jet Airways’ dedicated low-cost service, operating a mix of single-cabin Boeing and ATR aircraft. The new label will offer Premiere services on certain routes, identical to those offered by Jet Airways. The airline will expand this service in a phased manner.
The company will undertake gradual rebranding of the JetKonnect brand on letterheads, the JetKonnect website, boarding passes, tickets and stationery, and will repaint its fleet in JetKonnect colours over time. Commenting on the rebranding exercise, Sudheer Raghavan, Chief Commerical Officer of Jet Airways said; “The rebranding decision was made to streamline our product portfolio in the full service and low fare categories respectively. We are confident that this initiative will be well accepted by our guests.”
From 26 March, jetlite.com would be automatically redirected to the rebranded jetkonnect.com. Tickets sale for JetKonnect flights under the 9W and S2 codes commenced yesterday. The new label will continue its existing codeshare agreement with Jet Airways.
