Marriott International has further expanded its Renaissance brand in southern China with the launch of the 342-room Renaissance Huizhou Hotel, Guangdong province.
The property becomes Marriott’s hotel in Huizhou and also the first Renaissance-branded hotel to open in Pearl River Delta region. It follows the recently-opened Renaissance Guiyang Hotel, in the neighbouring region of Guizhou.
Located in the city’s Jiang Bei central business district, the new Renaissance forms part of the tallest building in Huizhou. The 247 deluxe rooms, 76 club rooms, 18 club suites and one Presidential suite measure from 47m² in size and include LCD screen TVs, high speed internet and Wi-Fi access, and iPod docking stations.
Hotel facilities include a Club Lounge, located on the 47th and 48th floors, four restaurants and lounges, an indoor swimming pool, 24-hour fitness centre and a spa with seven treatment rooms. MICE guests are catered to with 2,280m² of event space, comprising 11 meeting rooms and a 1,380m² grand ballroom.
“We are delighted to be opening this magnificent hotel today – our 58th hotel in China,” said Simon Cooper, President & Managing Director of Marriott International for Asia. “You can see from this landmark building – the tallest in Huizhou – that our development partners Guangzhou R&F Properties Development Co. have built a truly world-class hotel. We are confident that this will help to raise awareness of the city and drive great business to Huizhou, with Marriott International committed to promoting the hotel and destination to local and international travellers.”
Huizhou lies in the southeast part of Guangzhou province and the northeast part of Pearl River Delta.
