Hilton Worldwide kicks off GCC sales road show

Hilton Worldwide kick started its 15th annual GCC sales road show with a successful event in Riyadh, drawing more than 120 delegates and a 50% increase in attendance compared to last year.
The road show will cover the UAE, KSA and Qatar from April 21st – 29th, 2012 has been organised to showcase properties in major outbound destinations, through a series of strategic meetings and events. The road show was held at the Hilton Garden Inn Riyadh Olaya on April 21st; followed by Jeddah Hilton on April 23rd; Hilton Doha will be on April 25th; followed by Hilton Dubai Creek on April 26th and concluding with the Hilton Abu Dhabi on April 29th, 2012.
“Our road show helps to bolster day-to-day relations with our clients. It gives us a more powerful platform to develop links with key decision-makers in the market. It also provides an opportunity to enable us to showcase our brand footprint and individual properties more effectively,” stated Julien Bonafous, director of international sales, Arabian Peninsula, Hilton Worldwide.
The GCC sales road show will focus on establishing and promoting ties while showcasing properties such as Hilton Seychelles Northolme Resort & Spa and Hilton Seychelles Labriz Resort & Spa in Seychelles; London Hilton on Park Lane and Hilton London Metropole in the UK and Conrad Istanbul in Turkey.
“The GCC is an important source market, both for our international and regional properties, as the tradition of summer travel is very strong here. This year, the travel season will be split due to Ramadan falling during July; so we believe the time is right to reach out, in order to raise awareness and build up our booking base,” he added.
In addition, it will also highlight properties in Hilton Worldwide’s latest markets including Hilton Beirut Metropolitan Palace and Hilton Habtoor Grand in Lebanon as well as Hilton Doha in Qatar.
“We will also use the road show to drive interest and revenue to our properties across the globe, by targeting the right people,” said Bonafous.
