Chameleon Worldwide, the specialist tour operator, has cut its ties with Intrepid to become a fully independent company.
As part of the restructuring, Chameleon will now focus on growing its business and developing its brands. These include family holiday specialists Families Worldwide, Walks Worldwide, which offers a range of global walking and trekking holidays, and Schools Worldwide, which focuses on expeditions and field treks for schools and colleges.
“It feels very good to be 100% independent once more,” said Mark Wright, managing director and owner of Chameleon Worldwide. “We are a small specialist operator and our focus has always been on providing personal and flexible arrangements to our customers. Our small team of 20 staff are delighted with the news – they have a genuine passion for adventurous holidays for adults, families and schools.
“We will now grow the business step by step, working with local people and suppliers in the countries we operate in who we’ve got to know well over many years. The future is looking incredibly bright and we are all very excited,” he added.
The company added that it is planning to launch a new brand, and is pushing ahead with expansion and recruitment plans.
