Monarch reveals first scheduled winter schedule

Monarch Airlines has announced it will launch 12 new routes this winter including its first scheduled flights from Leeds Bradford.
Its new routes predominantly focus on the ski market with new flights from Gatwick and Manchester to Friedrichshafen and Leeds Bradford, Birmingham and Manchester to Grenoble and Munich. Flights to Munch will also operate from Luton with schedules to commence in mid-December.
In addition, flights from Gatwick and Birmingham to Funchal will launch in October alongside Birmingham to Sharm El Sheikh.
“The launch of these routes for winter 2012/13 marks an exciting new era for Monarch as we introduce our first programme of scheduled ski flights and target a new customer base of skiers looking to fly to Grenoble, Friedrichshafen, Munich as well as via our numerous Italian destinations,” said Kevin George, managing director of Monarch Airlines.
