Paris has been named as the most expensive city in the world to eat a club sandwich.
According to Hotels.com’s Club Sandwich Index, the hotel classic of chicken, bacon, egg, lettuce and mayo will set you back a staggering SG$41.07 (US$32.80) – higher than Tokyo (SG$34.30), Rome (SG$30.04), Sydney (SG$24.52) and London (SG$23.21). India (SG$11.88) is the cheapest place to tuck into a club sandwich, while in China the triple-decker delicacy will set you back SG$17.97.
So Travel Daily’s advice for travellers to Paris; stick to the moules mariniere. Knowing the restaurant waiters in Paris, you’d probably get thrown out for ordering a club sandwich anyway.
