Launching on 1 November 2012, Laguna Lang Co will mark Banyan Tree’s first foray in the country, and is based on the existing Laguna Phuket complex in Thailand.

Located on a 3km stretch of beach at Lang Co Bay, on Vietnam’s central coast, the 280-hectare development will include Banyan Tree – and Angsana-branded hotels and spas, an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Nick Faldo, private villas and residences, convention facilities and a range of recreational activities.

The first phase of the project represents a US$200 million investment funded through the Banyan Tree Indochina Hospitality Fund – a real estate investment fund established by the group in 2008.

“Banyan Tree has long been interested in establishing a presence in Vietnam to replicate the success of our flagship integrated resort in Phuket,” said Ho Kwon Ping, Executive Chairman of Banyan Tree Holdings. “Central Vietnam is an ideal foothold for our inaugural development in Indochina with its natural beauty and areas of rich historical interest such as Hue and Hoi An. We are confident that Laguna Lang Co will flourish as a holiday and premium properties destination for both domestic and international luxury tourism.”

The complex’s accommodation will include the Banyan Tree Lang Co, which will feature 32 131m² one-bedroom lagoon villas and 17 124m² one-bedroom beach villas, and the Angsana Lang Co, which will offer 229 suites ranging from 52-179m², 100 of which include a private pool.

The Banyan Tree Residences Lang Co includes a range of private pool villas, while Angsana Residence Lang Co comprises a three-storey beachfront condominium development.

Located in the Phu Loc district of Thua Thien Hue province, Laguna Lang Co is less than an hour’s drive from Danang and Hue airports.
