Qatar Airways wishes to inform you that an TV interview with the airline’s Chief Executive Officer Akbar Al Baker will appear on BBC HardTalk, Thursday 26 November 2009.
The flagship BBC TV programme consists of an in-depth half-hour one-on-one interview and has featured some of the best known personalities in the world such as the former US Vice President Al Gore, the former Australian Prime Minister John Howard, and the French Minister for Economy, Christine Lagarde.
The interview was conducted by Stephen Sackur, one of BBC’s most respected journalists, whose style of tough questioning has brought a huge global audience to the show.
Current issues such as Qatar Airways’ position in achieving environmental goals while forging ahead with its global expansion, its recently conducted gas-to-liquids flight as well as the controversial topic of government subsidies to airlines are covered in the interview.
Screenings will begin on BBC World News and will be repeated five times. The interview will also run nationally in the UK on the BBC network as per below timings.
