Holland America adds segments to Grand Asia cruise
Holland America Line has added three new segments to its 75-day Grand Asia & Australia Voyage.
Ranging from 20 to 30 days, the new segments set sail in October and November 2012 and range from China to California. The full voyage, onboard the ms Amsterdam, departs Seattle on 21 September and sails to Asia, Western Australia and the South Pacific on a 75-day cruise.
The first new segment is a 30-day voyage from Xingang (Beijing) to Sydney, departing 12 October, including overnights in Shanghai, Hong Kong and Singapore, as well as port calls in Vietnam, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea and Australia. Guests can also choose a shortened 20-day segment from Hong Kong to Brisbane, which embarks on 20 October with calls in Vietnam, Indonesia, Singapore, Papua New Guinea and Australia.
Finally a new 27-day segment sailing from Brisbane to San Diego on 9 November includes an overnight call in Sydney and port calls in New Zealand, Fiji, Samoa and Hawaii.
“These segments are a great option for travellers who want an exotic cruise but don’t have the time to take the full voyage,” said Richard Meadows, Holland America’s Executive Vice President for Marketing, Sales & Guest Programs. “We already have several segments to choose from on this Grand Voyage, but the three new additions allow us to cater to our travelers with endless possibilities in terms of which countries they want to see in a shorter period of time.”
