Nearly two thirds (63%) of people will fly more by 2050, according to a global survey by Airbus.
Air travellers are also concerned about the environment with 96% thinking aircraft should be more eco-efficient, with 66% wanting quieter aircraft.
When questioned about their airport gripes, travellers most disliked long passport control queues, slow check-in and bag collection, sitting on the tarmac and circling in holiday patterns. Air travel will also continue to fulfil the continued need for face to face contact, despite the rise of social media websites.
Here’s Airbus’ infographic on the study.
