Jet Airways has seen a 16% increase in passengers in its latest full-year results.
The Indian-based carrier saw its profits up £135 million with its load factors at 83% for the last quarter.
International traffic grew 26% in the fourth quarter year-on-year with UK visitors heading to Mumbai, Delhi and using its domestic network, as well as connecting onto Bangkok, Dhaka and Kathmandu.
However the Middle East has fuelled most of its international growth, with a fourth daily service between Mumbai and Dubai added.
The airline’s domestic traffic increased 22%, with its low-cost product Jet Konnect consolidated for cost efficiency.
“In the current climate of rapid change in market dynamics, our focus remains on enhancing the guest’s experience through creative marketing initiatives and social media tools,” said Lydia Nazareth, general manager for UK and Ireland at Jet Airways.
