SIA to boost Perth and Mumbai
Singapore Airlines (SIA) has announced a series of changes to its flight schedules for the forthcoming winter season, including extra services to Perth and Mumbai.
From the start of the winter schedule on 28 October 2012, SIA will add boost its Singapore-Perth route from three to four daily flights, while Singapore-Mumbai will increase from 19 to 21 flights per week. As previously announced, SIA will also add a fourth daily service to London.
Flights to Istanbul however, will be cut from five to four times a week, while the Athens and Abu Dhabi routes will be suspended entirely.
SIA has also unveiled plans to fly its Airbus A380 daily to San Francisco (via Hong Kong), as well as adding a second daily A380 service to Tokyo Narita. The existing A380 flights to New York via Frankfurt however, will be downgraded to a Boeing 777-300ER.
