ADDF clocks 29.1% increase

In line with passenger growth witnessed at Abu Dhabi International Airport, the Abu Dhabi Duty Free (ADDF) has posted steady growth with sales revenues touching AED380.2 million in the first half of 2012, which represents a 29.1% increase compared to 2011.
ADAC chief commercial officer, Mohammed Al Bulooki, said: “We are launching exclusive products, specifically within Perfume and Cosmetics, and these are really paying dividends in revenue growth and customer satisfaction. Spend per passenger has grown by 8.3% in the first six months of 2012 compared to 2011.”
The +29.11% revenue growth is across the business: from Gold, Cigars to the Luxury category with Burberry, Hermes and Bvlgari all performing strongly. Also on-going growth is witnessed in the traditional categories, namely Food and Confectionery, Perfume and Cosmetics.
